Formerly a public elementary school, the building is now the home of the Florence Community Center, 140 Pine Street in Florence, MA. The Community Center is a brick school building next to the Congregational Church. It is just up the hill from the Arts and Industries complex - see building image at right. Our bright and lovely 950 square foot space includes an 800 square foot practice room, a vestibule for belongings, office area and changing area. There are no showers. The building offers FREE PARKING, and plenty of it! Restrooms are located on the same floor as our space. From the Hilltowns - follow Route 9 South from Williamsburg, go past Look Park, and continue towards Florence Center. As you come towards the Center, you'll see a small traffic triangle - bear right before the triangle to Park Street - you'll pass the Park Street Cemetery on your right. Park Street merges into Pine Street, and you'll see The Florence Community Center immediately ahead of you on the left. The driveway is on the left side of the building. Park in the back of the building, opposite the driveway side near the playground, and enter through the doors on the that side of the building. The studio is on the top floor, Suite 12. From Northampton/South- From 91 N, take exit 18 and turn left onto Rt 5 - Pleasant Street. Drive approx. 1.5 miles and turn left onto Rt 9 N/Main Street in the center of Northampton. Follow Route 9 North through the center of Northampton, past Smith College, Northampton High School and Cooley Dickenson Hospital (Locust Street). Locust Street becomes Main Street in Florence (still Route 9). At the first set of lights in the center of Florence, take a left onto Chestnut Street (you'll see Cafe Evolution - a great vegan cafe & bakery), and then your first right onto Pine Street. Stay on Pine, go through two stop signs, and The Florence Community Center will be on your left. The driveway is on the left side of the building; park in the back of the building, near the playground, and enter through the doors on the that side of the building.
